Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "Client") and CRIMATON Pvt. Ltd. ("CRIMATON", "we", "us"), a company incorporated under the laws of India with its registered office at 160C, SG, Hoshiarpur Road, Jalandhar, Punjab — 144001.
By visiting crimaton.com, submitting an enquiry, purchasing a licence, enrolling in a programme, or engaging CRIMATON's services in any form, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If accepting on behalf of an organisation or legal entity, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

Specific terms, pricing, deliverables, and timelines for each engagement are governed by the applicable purchase order, service agreement, or programme registration confirmed in writing by CRIMATON.

Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, course materials, training content, methodologies, documentation, and underlying code — is the exclusive intellectual property of CRIMATON Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors, protected under applicable Indian and international intellectual property laws.
No content may be reproduced, distributed, publicly displayed, reverse-engineered, adapted, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission from CRIMATON.
The CRIMATON name, logo, and product names are trademarks of CRIMATON Pvt. Ltd. Unauthorised use of these marks is strictly prohibited.

Prohibited Conduct

- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any CRIMATON software product
- Reproducing, reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing any CRIMATON product, content, or training material without written authorisation
- Using CRIMATON software or training knowledge to conduct, facilitate, or conceal criminal activity
- Submitting false, misleading, or fabricated information through any CRIMATON channel
- Impersonating CRIMATON, its employees, or any authorised partner
- Interfering with the operation of this website or associated systems
CRIMATON reserves the right to immediately terminate access, report to relevant authorities, and pursue legal remedies against any party in breach.

Training & Programmes
Enrolment in any CRIMATON training programme, SDI batch, or CTF event is subject to the following:
- Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment or an approved institutional purchase order
- All training content, materials, recordings, and assessments are CRIMATON proprietary material and may not be shared, distributed, or reproduced without permission
- Certificates of completion are issued at CRIMATON's sole discretion based on attendance and assessment performance
- CRIMATON reserves the right to reschedule or cancel any programme due to insufficient enrolment, force majeure, or operational reasons, with reasonable advance notice
- Participants must maintain professional conduct; CRIMATON may remove any participant for disruptive behaviour without refund

Software Licensing
All CRIMATON software products are licensed, not sold. Each product is governed by a specific End-User Licence Agreement (EULA) provided at purchase. In the absence of a separate EULA, the following apply:
- Licences are non-transferable and non-sublicensable unless explicitly agreed in writing
- Software may only be used on the number of devices or by the number of users specified in the licence
- CRIMATON retains all ownership rights to the software at all times
- Updates, patches, and support are provided at CRIMATON's discretion within the active support period
- Evaluation or trial licences may not be used for production investigation workloads

Payments & Refunds
All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise specified. GST and applicable taxes are charged in addition unless stated as inclusive.
Refund Policy:
- Software licences: No refunds after activation or first use
- Training programmes: Full refund for cancellations more than 7 days before commencement. Within 7 days: non-refundable, but may be transferred to a future batch at CRIMATON's discretion
- Custom development: Refund terms governed by the specific project agreement
- CTF Events: Entry fees non-refundable once the event has commenced
To request a refund, contact contact@crimaton.com with your order reference and reason.

Disclaimers
This website and all CRIMATON products and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. CRIMATON makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding:
- The accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any information on this website
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation of any software product
- The admissibility of any output produced using CRIMATON software in legal proceedings — forensic admissibility depends on the investigator's methodology, jurisdiction, and applicable evidentiary standards
- Specific outcomes from participation in any training programme or SDI
CRIMATON's tools are designed to support investigators and do not replace professional judgement, legal counsel, or court-approved forensic procedures.

Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CRIMATON Pvt. Ltd., its directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of this website, any product, or any service — including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunity.
In all cases, CRIMATON's total aggregate liability to any party shall not exceed the amount paid by that party to CRIMATON in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CRIMATON Pvt. Ltd. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of this website or any CRIMATON product in violation of these Terms, your violation of any applicable law, or any misrepresentation made by you in connection with any CRIMATON engagement.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Jalandhar, Punjab, India.
Prior to initiating legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution for 30 days from the date the dispute is first raised in writing.

Changes to These Terms
CRIMATON reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon publication with an updated date. Continued use of this website or any CRIMATON service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
